Our modernisation programme is bringing you 101 new trains, upgrading all our current fleet and saying “goodbye” to the Pacers!
The first new trains went into service this summer with 33 now in service and have already carried over a million customers, bringing added comfort and greater capacity on-board. Coupled with the refurbishment of 243 existing trains – including the installation of new, full accessible toilets with baby changing facilities, free WiFi and charging points, and new LED lighting – it means the days of our Pacer trains are numbered and most of them will be enjoying their well-deserved retirement by the end of the year.
New and improved trains are at the heart of our plans to transform our customers’ travel experience. Now calling at more stations, step on-board for an altogether more comfortable and connected journey. Take a tour of our new Class 331 train to see the difference for yourself…
